The Wall

Construction

The end wall is a mixture of rendered and painted blockwork, painted brickwork and stained timber boarding.

Apart from being a mess, the blockwork is very thin and at risk of falling over. Peter and I have decided to replace the mish-mash with a new rendered blockwork wall (when he's finished the kitchen). The wall would be a feature and two elements need to be decided - the capping - probably a brick or tile course and the wall colour. As a test, before the wall is knocked down, a test-pot of 'light terracotta' was applied.

An impression of the new wall painted 'stone' to match the rest of the house.
